The Omnium website was updated today to include information and screenshots about the upcoming release of the new 2007 Omnium Software™. The new software which will include an open-source provision for the first time should be ready for download by the end of January.

The Sydney based members of the Omnium team (Rick, Sam, Charles, Paul, Simon and Anne-Louise) have been working on various parts of the new release since July and apart from a substantial amount of coding still to be done by Sam and Paul, it is very exciting to go into the new year with such a new product and direction.

Some of the Omnium team begin various trips away for Christmas as of tomorrow with Sam off to the north coast of NSW, Charles to Indonesia, and Simon to Malaysia. I (Rick) am off to Singapore in early january for talks with various institutions interested in the software and anyone in the region wishing to meet up are more than welcome.
